Fancy Quality Update

Following her first breeze at Saratoga on August 6th, trainer Kenny McPeek reported that Fancy Quality exited the work shin sore. He therefore decided to give her a few days off to see if it would cool down but she unfortunately was still palpating on it last week. Given this was only her first true breeze, Kenny does not believe it’s worth pursuing on with this and prefers to give her additional time off and be patient with her. Since this is a common setback, especially with 2-year-olds, we remain confident that the time out of training will do her a lot of good so that she can come back stronger. Kenny will ship her back to his farm in Ocala where she will receive 45 to 60 days off before being reevaluated. We will report back with news from the farm in the coming weeks.
