Desire Street 19 Workout Report

Desire Street 19 (outside) worked three furlongs this morning with jockey Adam Beschizza in the irons. He worked in company with Midnight Hurricane, an unraced 2-year-old by Midnight Storm. The duo covered the ground in 36:60.

Adam talked very highly of our 2-year-old colt after the breeze, saying he has a lot of speed and is a “pocket rocket.” He added that he felt a lot of talent underneath of him today and feels that Desire Street 19 could develop into a nice horse.

Right now, however, Desire Street 19 gets strong and wants to do too much, as seen in his recent works. Trainer Cherie DeVaux wants to see him relax in his breezes, instead of trying to run off and overwork himself. Moving forward, we can expect to see most of Desire Street 19’s works with jockeys aboard, which should benefit him.

DeVaux – a former assistant for Chad Brown – is a trainer known for developing 2-year-olds very patiently. So we know Desire Street 19 will get all the time and attention he needs.

Please enjoy this video from Desire Street 19’s work this morning.
