Cumberland Falls Race Recap

Cumberland Falls finished a decent sixth in today’s 6th race at Belmont Park, beaten by only 2 3/4 lengths. Your filly broke well and placed mid-pack early on by jockey Flavien Prat. The pace was slow down the backstretch with fractions of :25.65 and :51.81. While very keen to go on, Cumberland Falls was in very good position. Due to the slow pace, Flavien was forced to make an early move and was contesting for the lead while three wide turning for home. Your daughter of Tapwrit finally flattened out in the final furlong but ran a respectable race.

Flavien Prat shared his thoughts following the race which can be heard above. He reported that your filly was keen in the backstretch and that the distance was a bit too long for her. This was a solid effort overall for Cumberland Falls and your filly is expected to ship back to Monmouth in the coming days. We’ll report back then with news on how your filly exited the race.
