We’ll have a notable rooting interest on Sunday when Sirius Pursuit’s sophomore half-sister Paula’s a Star returns to stakes company in Saratoga’s Jersey Girl S. She’ll be the #7 in Race 9. Post time is 4:39 p.m.

Paula’s a Star disappointed last out when third at short odds in a Laurel Park allowance, but trainer Tom Morley must have found a legitimate excuse for that effort to come back in this spot and he’s having a great Belmont S. week already, with two wins thus far including a score in Thursday’s G3 Poker S.

Sirius Pursuit’s year-older half-sister Paula’s a Star earned black-type yesterday when she finished a game third against the boys in Aqueduct’s Jimmy Winkfield S. While a minor placing in a listed stakes race won’t dramatically impact our filly’s value, it certainly doesn’t hurt, and Paula’s a Star seems like one who could very well have more stakes success in her future.

Just wanted to pass along a fresh video clip of Seeking a Star ‘23 (inside). She continues to develop swiftly at GoldMark Farm and is reportedly eager to do more. The team expects her to have a first breeze in the next few weeks and will likely put some space in between her early works as she’s easily on schedule if not ahead of it at this point.
