Incredible had his first official work this morning over the Keeneland main track covering three furlongs in :38.40. Your son of Authentic worked on the inside of another son of Authentic, Beeville. Incredible appeared to be going just a bit easier of the two but it was a fairly even work while neither colt was asked for anything serious. Everything is progressing as well as we could have hoped since he transitioned to trainer Steve Asmussen.
Enjoy the most recent update on Incredible, your 2-year-old colt at Oak Ridge Training Center. This professional son of Authentic continues to improve and grow into himself and one we believe is only going to keep progressing with time. We must remember Incredible was born on May 19th, so while he is considered a 2-year-old he truly is not two yet. Despite still being on the immature side compared to Madame Secretary, Dave describes him as a “Colt who has a great way of going with a smooth action. He’s a leggy colt with a great mind.”
Next week Incredible is scheduled to begin some speed work with Dave and will be one who will likely remain on the farm until May. One we think the additional time will be beneficial as we stated above but also this is a typical schedule for 2-year-olds shipping into trainer Steve Asmussen being based in Kentucky this time of year. With the chaos of the Derby, Steve prefers to let things settle down before the babies ship in.
