Carrothers Workout Report

Carrothers breezed five furlongs over the Palm Meadows turf yesterday morning in 1:05.80 (5/8) in company with Backchat. As you’ll hear trainer Kent Sweezey say in the video above, this work was not meant to be “speedy” but meant to be a learning experience, teaching Carrothers to become more comfortable being behind horses.

He continues to thrive at Palm Meadows, settling in really nicely to his new surroundings. Carrothers will target an allowance race going one mile on the turf at Gulfstream Park on December 3rd, and will be in for a tag of $25,000. Entries are taken on Saturday, November 26th.
