Cable Boss Update
Cable Boss had his second three furlong work last week over the Bridlewood dirt track. The son of Quality Road covered the ground in 40:00 seconds with a dynamic scope recording throughout the work. Dr. Adam Lusk of Ocala Equine hospital preformed the dynamic scope which revealed that the colt was unable to fully abduct the left arytenoid at any point during the examination and that there is a typical dynamic collapse of the left arytenoid during the breeze and gallop out. Dr. Lusk’s treatment of choice would be a laryngoplasty (tie back) and laser Ventitulocordectomy. Our in house veterinarian’s Dr. Berk and Dr. Hunt also reviewed the footage and agreed with Dr. Lusk’s suggestion for the surgery. Cable Boss is scheduled for surgery tomorrow.
We will be sure to report back once we have an update.

While some things are exciting to share others may give our competition a competitive edge. We kindly ask that this post not be shared on social media outside of the horses Facebook group.
