Boppy Update

We have come to an agreement with our partner Spendthrift Farm to ship Boppy to their farm in Kentucky. Following a discussion with Spendthrift and trainer Brad Cox, we decided that running the daughter of Blame in a first-level allowance at Belterra Park was not the best course of action. With five races under her belt and her maiden victory coming at Belterra Park, we feel it is the right moment for her to transition from a racehorse to a career as a broodmare. From a numbers standpoint, our filly would still need to take a decent enough jump forward in order to be a factor. With the purses being as minimal as they are at Belterra, we feel better about sending her off to be a mom as a winner.

When our majority partner Spendthrift Farm who owns 85% of the filly expressed interest we decided to pursue a private sale of our 15% without running her through the sales ring. Three different appraisals have been ordered that will provide us with a fair commercial value on your daughter of Blame. If we are pleased with the median valuation, we will offer Spendthrift the opportunity to purchase out 15% interest as a broodmare prospect for the 2024 season. If we are not comfortable with the valuation we do reserve the right to offer for sale in the November auction. We will report back when we receive the different appraisals with a plan moving forward.
