Japan Turf Cup Surface Update

After Maryland was pounded with rain yesterday afternoon and through the night, the Maryland Jockey Club decided to take all races off the turf, including stakes. The Japan Turf Cup will now be run on the dirt at 1 ¼ miles. Kent Sweezey was expecting a good amount of scratches and has prepared Carrothers to run on the dirt today.
